New Build Project Launched With Balloon Race

There was a carnival atmosphere at the school and the weather was kind to us for this very special event that was used to kick off our efforts to raise more than £50,000 towards the cost of our proposed new building.

The fund raising campaign in support of our new build project was officially launched on 1st May 2009 as were several hundred balloons! On being given clearance from air traffic control at Gatwick Airport, the balloons were released by children from the school, watched by many of those hopeful that their balloon would travel the furthest and so win the lucky owner one of the prizes on offer.

The balloon raised a fantastic £1060 - the winner found their balloon in Algeria with several landing in France and Holland as well as Kent and Essex nerare home!
